Our Products (so far…)
We should have eggs again this summer. Typically, the hens are fed an organic ration, organic sea kelp (free choice) and a natural calcium supplement for their shells. Last year they were $5 per dozen. You cannot get higher quality eggs anywhere.
As early as May (weather permitting) we will be selling whole Jumbo Cornish Cross Rocks. These are the industry standard eating bird. They yield a lot of breast meat and are very tender with great taste. They range in weight from 4 to 7 pounds. Watch the blog as we get into March for pre-ordering instructions! I am expecting the cost to be $3.50/lb.
We will also have turkeys, which are Broad Breasted Whites. I have not decided whether I will do two rounds of turkeys, or if they will only be available at Thanksgiving. Watch the blog for a conversation on this, or shoot me an e-mail with your feedback (farmersam@farmersam.com). They will likely also be $3.50/lb.
Within the next few weeks, I will have soy-free, pasture-raised, non-medicated pork available. Last year’s pork was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The shoulder roasts were mind-altering and the spare ribs topped the baby-back ribs you’d get at most joints. If you have any questions, please let me know via the contact form.
