Our Products (so far…)
The egg flock is in full swing! The hens are being fed an organic ration and organic sea kelp (free choice) and a natural calcium supplement for their shells. I am bringing in over 5 dozen eggs per day! You can get your name on the list to purchase eggs, just go to the “Reserve your share” link. They are $4 per dozon.
As early as April (weather permitting) we will be selling whole Jumbo Cornish Cross Rocks. These are the industry standard eating bird. They yield a lot of breast meat and are very tender with great taste. They range in weight from 4 to 7 pounds. Watch the blog as we get into March for pre-ordering instructions!
We will also have turkeys, which are Broad Breasted Whites. I have not decided whether I will do two rounds of turkeys, or if they will only be available at Thanksgiving. Watch the blog for a conversation on this, or shoot me an e-mail with your feedback (farmersam@farmersam.com).
